È	Since your cable company has no way of knowing that you have your own cable equipment it is your responsibility to notify them of that. The purchaser must comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding the ownership of cable television equipment.
È	You are also required by law to pay for all services received. Theft of cable services is illegal. Owning a descrambler does not give you the right to receive channels without paying for them. Theft of cable services (including pay-per-view, and premium channels) is illegal if you have not paid for them.
